With the organization and coordination of the Science Committee of Chongming County, The Cooperation Agreement of Sino-Japan Natural Schools was officially signed after rounds of negotiations between Chongming Teachers’ Further Study School and Crested Ibis’ Wings Environment and Culture Research Society of Japan in February, 2012. According to the agreement, all the funds raised by Japan would be used for the Sino-Japan Natural School Cooperation Project. In addition, excellent teachers of environmental education in Japan would offer guidance for teachers in Chongming in aspects of environmental education. China would organize teachers who would participate in the training as well as education resources. The cooperation time span is three years.

During the process, we have held the launching ceremony of the Sino-Japan natural schools and teachers’ training. More than 100 teachers from different schools have participated in general training. They have gained the concept of natural schools and practical methods after learning with the pedagogy of integrating theories and practices. The television station of Aichi Prefecture in Japan broadcasted the whole launching ceremony and the activity process, which have achieved great popularity. Toyota Mobile Corporation, which is a benefactor of the Sino-Japan natural school, has clearly indicated that more funds would be provided, and deeper communication and cooperation would be activated within natural schools.
