Recently, teachers from various sister schools both within and outside Chongming Island gathered together to participate in the themed class meetings (innovation forums) of Chongming High School's junior and senior classes.

This event, as an important part of the inaugural Head Teachers' Festival in Chongming District, aimed to enhance the professional quality of head teachers and promote the development of the educational cause in Chongming District through the display of themed class meetings. During the event, all classes from the junior and senior grades of the school demonstrated themed class meetings and innovation forums with full enthusiasm and ample preparation, covering all aspects and regions. Over 200 participants, including key leaders from the Chongming District Education Bureau, leaders from the College of Education, leaders and head teacher representatives from various primary and secondary schools in Chongming, mentors and trainees from the Shanghai Double Famous Project "Peak Plan," attended this thematic education event.

Junior students, in line with the new college entrance examination policy and the actual situation of course selection, conducted themed class meetings on the theme of "Development and Planning." Senior students, facing a "watershed" in terms of behavioral norms and academic development, held an innovation forum on "Freedom and Rules," guiding students to rationally examine themselves, discern right from wrong, and understand the relationship between freedom and rules. Chongming High School, by promoting the demonstration of themed class meetings as a platform for teaching and research, continuously explores and practices new methods and approaches for head teachers to build classes and educate students, enhancing the quality of head teachers in building classes and educating students.

At this class meeting exhibition event, Huang Zongkui, the director of the Chongming District Education Bureau, personally attended the event and participated in the innovation forum review activity in Class 7 of the senior grade. Director Huang highly praised the students' excellent performance. He pointed out that rules and freedom are issues that young people must face and think about, and that while enjoying freedom, the importance of rules should not be neglected. He also emphasized the importance of high school students having a sense of national and family consciousness, guiding them to pay attention to the current international and domestic situation, and recognizing that they are the future and hope of the country. He proposed that students should cherish their time in school, continuously improve their comprehensive quality and ability level, set ambitious and far-reaching goals, and become responsible and promising young people.

During this Head Teachers' Festival, the school was awarded the Excellent Organization Award, Teacher Huang Huijuan was honored with a certificate for 30 years of head teaching experience, Teacher Wang Qinghui was appointed as the host of the Chongming District Head Teachers' Workshop, Teacher Bo Xin won the first prize in the Chongming District Ninth Primary and Secondary School Head Teachers' Basic Skills Series Competition for educational stories and the second prize for themed class meeting design, and Teacher Zhang Zichen participated in the performance narrative activity, fully demonstrating the teachers' fruitful achievements and outstanding demeanor.

The successful holding of the themed class meeting (innovation forum) exhibition event once again highlights the value and significance of the work of head teachers. This is not only a comprehensive review of the school's head teacher team but also a deep exploration of the educational function of head teachers.
