Recently, the District CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) held a ceremony to inaugurate the Joint Studio of the Civil Alliance and Education Sector Committee members at Chongming Institute of Education, followed by a consultative symposium on "Promoting High-Quality Development of Chongming Vocational Education." District CPPCC Chairman Zhang Quanquan, Vice Chairman Fan Hongmei, and the head of the Civil Alliance District Committee and District Education Bureau Director Huang Zongkui attended the meeting.

Prior to the symposium, Lu Qin, the convener of the Education Sector of the District CPPCC, and Fang Yiyan, the convener of the Civil Alliance Sector, jointly unveiled the Joint Studio of the District CPPCC Civil Alliance and Education Sector Committee members. The members learned about the background and purpose of the establishment of the Joint Studio, as well as the work of the members from both sectors in staying true to their original intentions, leveraging their strengths, and committing to educational endeavors.

During the symposium, Lu Qin reported on the situation of vocational education and skilled talent training on behalf of the District Education Bureau.

Zhang Hong, Zhou Jianhui, Gu Hongmei, and Liu Ling'ao, members of the District CPPCC from the Civil Alliance and Education sectors, offered suggestions on adjusting talent training structures, optimizing professional curriculum settings, promoting industry-education integration, and facilitating vertical integration between secondary and higher education.

District CPPCC members Yang Ji, Lu Huihui, and Hu Yan, combining their own enterprise needs, exchanged views on deepening experiential models, promoting localized education and training, and establishing a vocational education forum.

In addition, two student representatives spoke about leveraging their strengths and planning for future careers based on their learning experiences.

Huang Zongkui, in his responsive speech, fully affirmed everyone's opinions and stated that the District Education Department will continue to conduct in-depth industry research, strive to meet market demands; continue to deepen industry-education integration and improve the vocational education system; continue to enhance teacher quality and raise the level of educational practice; and continue to strengthen career guidance to help plan student employment.

Zhang Quanquan pointed out in his speech that vocational education is closely linked to economic and social development and is of great significance for promoting employment, entrepreneurship, and economic and social progress, as well as enhancing the well-being of the people. He emphasized the importance of placing the promotion of high-quality vocational education in a prominent position, focusing on how to better cultivate highly skilled and adaptable talents as the core goal. Always adhere to learning orientation, practicality orientation, and future orientation, continuously build a vocational education system that is interconnected, related, and mutually reinforcing, and jointly construct a diverse and collaborative ecosystem for cultivating highly skilled talents. He hopes that the District CPPCC will play the role of a special consultative institution, rely on the advantages of sectors, members, and cohesion, conduct in-depth research, and make precise suggestions to contribute to the accelerated construction of Chongming's vocational education.

Wu Jianchun, Director of the District CPPCC Education, Science, Health, and Sports Committee, and Zhu Jugang, Deputy Director of the District CPPCC Agriculture and Rural Committee, as well as members from the Civil Alliance and Education sectors, participated in the event.
