December 4, 2024, marks the eleventh National Constitution Day of our country, and December 1 to 7 is the seventh "Constitution Publicity Week." To deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and further strengthen the legal education of young people, the Chongming District Education Bureau has carefully planned and organized a variety of Constitution Publicity Week activities in all 56 primary and secondary schools in the district.

The theme of this year's Constitution Publicity Week is "Promoting the Spirit of the Constitution and Upholding Its Authority." Each primary and secondary school closely revolves around the theme, meticulously plans, enriches the carriers, focuses on practical results, and allows teachers and students to deeply understand constitutional knowledge and establish the authority of the constitution, laying a solid foundation for building a harmonious society and constructing a rule-of-law campus.

Yangzi Middle School fully utilized campus bulletin boards, electronic screens, class blackboards, and other media to widely publicize constitutional knowledge, creating a strong campus legal atmosphere. The school also integrated constitutional education organically into flag-raising ceremonies and club activities, and through special lectures, thematic education classes, and idea collection activities, vigorously promoted the spirit of socialist rule of law, making the respect for law, learning about law, abiding by law, and using law a trend in the school.

Changxing Primary School carefully planned a parent-child reading activity during the Constitution Week, deepening constitutional education through parent-child reading of constitutional articles and watching constitutional education clips. The parent-child reading activity not only enhanced the parents' and children's understanding of the constitution but also strengthened the emotional bonds among family members. The children gained a deeper understanding of the constitution, and the parents, while educating their children, further enhanced their own legal concepts.

Dongmen Middle School led students to visit the rule-of-law base, starting a journey to explore the mysteries of the rule of law. Students visited rule-of-law exhibitions, watched rule-of-law promotional films, and experienced rule-of-law interactive projects. The activity allowed students to more intuitively understand the process and achievements of our country's rule-of-law construction. In addition, the constitutional essay competition also received a positive response from students, with excellent essays reflecting students' in-depth thinking about the constitution and their firm belief in the rule of law.

Peicheng School, in conjunction with the Judicial Office and Social Work Point of JianShe Town, conducted a "Learn the Law 'Now,' Make It Fun 'With Us'" Constitution Carnival. "Rule of Law Fun Basketball," "Rule of Law Puzzle," "Rule of Law Vision Chart," "Climbing the Rule of Law Path"... The novel activity formats and rich content cleverly blend constitutional knowledge with fun activities. The "Speak Out 'Now,' Sound 'With You' Brilliantly" voice-over competition activity allows students to interpret the law with their voices, making the rule of law deeply rooted in people's hearts.

Xianghua Primary School's "The Constitution is the Fundamental Law" themed class meeting, through watching videos, group discussions, situational analysis, and knowledge competitions, helps students enhance their awareness and ability to respect and uphold the constitution. The school also organized third, fourth, and fifth graders to make constitutional newspapers. Students used their imagination to depict the image of the constitution in their hearts with brushes. Each exquisite constitutional newspaper is not only a tribute to the spirit of the constitution by the children but also a display of their rule-of-law dreams.

Minben Middle School's Constitution Week themed flag-raising ceremony invited the Deputy Director of the Judicial Guarantee Department of the District People's Procuratorate and the Captain of the Judicial Police Team — the school's rule-of-law vice principal Ma Liang to give a themed speech under the national flag. He called on everyone to study the constitution carefully and internalize and externalize the spirit of the constitution. Subsequently, the school's teacher Dong Hongling led the teachers and students to recite the constitution together, and the resounding recitation of the teachers and students echoed throughout the campus. The solemn flag-raising ceremony enhanced the respect and understanding of the constitution by all teachers and students.

Dongmen Primary School invited the school's rule-of-law vice principal — prosecutor Cai Zhenyu to give a special lecture on "Growing Up with the Law" and "Protecting Growth" with the theme of "The Great Truth of Law in Little Cartoons." He used popular cartoon clips to explain legal knowledge in a simple and understandable way and answer legal doubts. In the class team meeting, the instructors went deep into the class to give a thematic education class on "Promoting the Spirit of the Constitution and Upholding Its Authority." Minyi Middle School carried out a constitutional morning reading activity. Under the guidance of teachers, students read the constitutional articles word for word, from the preamble to the basic rights and obligations of citizens. The clear and firm voices echoed in every corner of the campus, and the students' focused expressions seemed to be having an in-depth dialogue with the constitution. When the melody of "The Constitution Grows with Me" sounded, the children used their clear and loud voices to start a constitutional music journey, fully displaying their respect and love for the constitution.

Yuan'an Primary School organized second and third graders to make bookmarks and draw small newspapers. The children used colorful brushes to show their understanding of the constitution. Bookmarks and small newspapers are all over the campus, and the children have become disseminators of constitutional knowledge. Fourth and fifth graders carried out the activity of copying the "Constitution" articles with hard pen calligraphy. The children sat upright and wrote neatly, writing down their reverence for the constitution with each stroke. The series of Constitution Week activities made the spirit of the constitution shine brightly in the campus.

Jiangfan Middle School invited the rule-of-law vice principal Prosecutor Xie Peng to give a special lecture on "Comply with the Constitution and Promote the Spirit of Rule of Law" to all seventh-grade students. The students received a systematic and vivid constitutional education, enhancing their awareness of knowing the law, understanding the law, abiding by the law, and protecting the law. The school also organized students to propose golden ideas for problems in online use. The students thought deeply and condensed "Civilized Internet Use・Rule Suggestions" golden ideas with wisdom.
