Located in Xincun Township, Chongming District, a town of rice culture in Shanghai, Rice 1968 is an agricultural leisure tourist attraction with ecological leisure as its feature and rice culture as its core element. The scenic area covers an area of 12,558 square meters, with a construction area of 5,716.4 square meters.

 

The first phase of the project, the rice culture center, was officially opened to the public in September 2018. There are many sightseeing projects, such as the Yangtze River Civilization Exhibition Map, Rice Memorabilia, Knowledge Interactive Wall, Rice Encyclopedia, Rice Variety Exhibition, Centenary Bowl and Longevity Rice, Rice Culture Broadcasting Hall, Rice Culture Exhibition Interactive Area, High-Quality Processing Line, Traditional Farming Tools Exhibition and so on.

 

The second phase of the project, the rice food culture experience center, will be opened to the public in 2019, integrating rice food production, cultural exhibition, farming, entertainment and education, and product shopping. In addition, special rice and winter wheat are planted in rotation. Special rice is planted from the end of spring to the end of autumn. Special rice is bright and colorful. Special rice of various colors are mixed together to form a very beautiful scene. The scenic area has a very beautiful hydrophilic platform, equipped with coffee and umbrella, providing a place for tourists to rest after tea.

 

The third phase of the project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
