Hongqiao Huaxiang Scenic Spot is located in Hongqiao Village, Jianshe Town, Chongming District, a demonstration village of Rural Revitalization in Shanghai. Taking "one story, two industries and three zones" as the main line, the scenic spot tells the story of Huaxiang, strengthens the flower industry and the homestay industry, and builds the scenic spot of the Sino-Dutch modern flower industry base, Uncle Gu’s Homestay and the saffron base with high-quality products, thus forming a featured tourist attraction characterized by a collection of eco-tourism, science popularization and homestay leisure.

Shanghai Aalsmeer Horticulture Co., Ltd., the operator of the Sino-Dutch Modern Flower Industry Base Scenic Spot, is adjacent to the Flower Expo Park. Covering a total area of nearly 180 mu, it is mainly engaged in the cultivation of bulb flowers, with the international standard bulb flower production of the Sino-Dutch Modern Horticulture Center as the resource brand. It has three functional zones: Hongqiao Huaxiang (the bulb flower exhibition base), the breeding center and the tulip workshop. Efforts are made to build it into a modern sightseeing eco-park. There will be flower display, experience items, derivative sales, etc. to make tourists have a deeper understanding of the Hongqiao Huaxiang Project and the Chongming flower industry, and take the flowers of the world-class eco-island home.

Uncle Gu's Homestay, located in the Third Villagers’ Group of Hongqiao Village, Jianshe Town, is a gathering site of the Flower Expo Families specially designated by the district and the town. It was founded by Gu Hongbin and Gu Hongyu in 2012. So far, 37 farmers have participated in the development, forming a rural homestay group with the functions of accommodation, catering, picking and agri-products sales. There are 192 guest rooms, 307 beds and 530 dining seats. It can meet the accommodation and catering needs of tourists during the flower expo. The infrastructure around the homestay houses is perfect, with the bus and minibus parking lots, the convenience store, etc. There are also a min-farm, a CS game site, an outdoor barbecue site and other entertainment places to for different needs of adults and children, individuals and teams.

In the saffron base, the development mode of "enterprise + cooperative + farmer" is adopted by Shanghai TCM Co., Ltd. On the basis of the research on the standardized cultivation of saffron, the farmers are guided to apply modern technology to grow saffron scientifically, and solve technical problems of bulb breeding, planting, flower processing, etc. During the past 40 years since the planting of saffron in Chongming, it not only solved the problem of surplus labor force in some towns, but also improved the local economy, and added radiance to Chongming's characteristic industries. It also developed a lot of derivatives related to saffron, such as saffron mask, saffron soap and so on.
