Recently, Manyu Outdoor Camp in Lvhua Town collaborated with Dongping National Forest Park to launch a brand-new 2-kilometer forest kayaking waterway. Visitors can paddle their way through a "forest Amazon"-style adventure, listening to birdsong and encountering sika deer, immersing themselves in a new spring ecological exploration experience.
The waterway's boarding point is located at the boat dock of Dongping National Forest Park. Visitors can put on life jackets, pick up paddles, and embark on their water adventure. Drifting on the water, with a gentle breeze brushing against their faces, waterbirds and wild ducks frolic on the surface. The riverbanks are lush with dense greenery. When tired, one can simply drift along at the center of the lake, enjoying a moment of pure relaxation.
Visitors who tried the experience said it was great fun. "The entire waterway feels like an adventure. I saw some waterbirds and heard bird calls as well as the sounds of sika deer. The instructor accompanied us throughout, giving us a strong sense of security. Everyone should come and try it!"

The winding, picturesque waterway offers surprises at every turn—you might suddenly find yourself face to face with free-roaming sika deer. This unexpected encounter has become the highlight of the experience.
Yang Minwei, head of Manyu Outdoor Sports Camp, explained that the biggest feature of this waterway is its access deep into the deer habitat area. As visitors paddle along, they may encounter sika deer, which, combined with the dense jungle landscape, creates a unique sense of jungle exploration.
The launch of this new kayaking waterway further promotes the deep integration of culture, tourism, and ecology in Chongming, inviting more people to step into nature and experience the ecological charm of the region.
