"The persimmons are yellow on the walls, and people are eagerly harvesting in autumn." It's that time of year again when persimmons ripen. Ruihua Orchard in Xinhai Town is celebrating a bountiful harvest, with golden persimmons attracting many visitors eager to enjoy the picking experience.

As you enter Ruihua Orchard, you'll see nearly 200 persimmon trees laden with fruit. From a distance, the plump persimmons hide among the green leaves, resembling little yellow lanterns hanging from the branches, with a faint fruity aroma in the air. Visitors with baskets weave through the orchard, immersed in the joy of picking. "I tried the persimmons here last year and couldn't forget them—they're sweet but not too much, and have a soft, glutinous texture. I came back specifically to pick more this year," said Ms. Wu.

According to a spokesperson, Ruihua Orchard began planting persimmons in 2021 and has now achieved large-scale fruiting. "The main variety grown is the 'Xiaofang Persimmon.' By using organic fertilizers, precise pruning, and proper thinning, we ensure high-quality and abundant yields. Visitors can come directly to the orchard to pick, with the picking season lasting until November."

Persimmons are rich in sugars, vitamins, and minerals, and have health benefits such as aiding digestion, soothing the lungs, stopping coughs, and nourishing the skin. Those who enjoy eating persimmons are encouraged to invite friends and family to Ruihua Orchard for a fun picking experience.

However, it's important to note that persimmons, while delicious, should be eaten in moderation to avoid adverse effects on the body. Persimmons are cold in nature, and excessive consumption can cause stomach pain, especially for those with weaker digestive systems. People with diabetes should also limit their intake. Additionally, persimmons should not be eaten on an empty stomach, nor should they be consumed with protein-rich seafood, as this can lead to gastrointestinal discomfort and the formation of stones.
