Chongming: This Cooperative Builds Eco-agriculture Complex

In recent years, Chongming has insisted on taking green as its background color, taken the green agriculture as the core basic industry of Chongming, and spared no effort to build the urban green agricultural highland in modern times and the gold-lettered signboard of green agriculture in Chongming. Linjiang Village, Sanxing Town, according to the requirements of "three highs" for Chongming in agricultural development (high yield, high quality and high economic benefit), has taken green, ecology, high-quality and high-efficiency as the development goal, and used agricultural ecological environment, agricultural production activities and other projects to provide people with business places for sightseeing, leisure and experience.

 

When you enter the Changqing Agricultural Planting Professional Cooperative in Linjiang Village, you can see a large area of rice fields and greenhouses. It is learnt that at present, the Cooperative has established a total of 1,200 mu of planting land where different kinds of rice, vegetables and fruits, seedlings and so on are planted. Among them, the annual output of high-quality rice can reach 1,500 Jin. While guaranteeing the green production and market supply of conventional vegetables, the staff has added many special vegetables in the designated areas, including small parsley, Shanghai-based green vegetables, Chinese little greens and other varieties.

 

Wang Bo, head of the Cooperative, told that they cooperated with the Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences in the extraction of seed sources and the experiment of new varieties to make new attempts. The aquatic products were mainly fish and shrimp feeding, as well as fish and turtles feeding. The fruits mainly included Baisha Loquat and Huoju Loquat.

 

Next, the Cooperative will mobilize more surrounding residents to realize the marketing mode of "cooperative + farmer", drive the economic growth related to villagers, and speed up the establishment of a mechanized production base integrating tillage machines, deep ploughing machines, harvesters and plant protection machines to better improve the production efficiency of green leafy vegetables.
